well to start of Tristan and Ethan have a sort of blood bond which makes them be horny for each other, Ethan did this to mark Tristan as his own. Tristan's uncle found out about this and told him to kill Ethan because otherwise Tristan is no use for him. Tristan goes to do this but realizes he love Ethan, and Ethan finds out Tristan is the one killing the vampires, so Ethan is pissed at Tristan. They have a sort of face off at this point and well they realize they don't want to kill each other so they make up (Ch 50-53) but well Tristan has somethings to take care off, so he leaves for 2 years but comes back in Ch 55 to help Ethan because he was drugged by a guy to bring Tristan out, a trap set by Tristan's uncle.
