Erhm I don't see any plot holes, in fact it just explained why it only worked after he died. She literally did not give him the second chance so obviously it didn't alter the events since he wasn't the one who received it, ML used it after.
Also lmao I think you need to read the story another time, and correctly this time, the reason why the grandma isn't around mc was already given, and it was underlined with this chapter right here. She can't move pass the fact that he indirectly took her daughter from her, which was reminded here.
From what I can remember, if you go back to the beginning you'll see that MC and his grandmother don't have a good relationship, because she blames him for his mother's death and because she gave all of her luck to him. You can see in the most recent chapter that the grandmother is still passive towards him, but I don't really understand why, since she just revealed that she knew all along that her daughter would die young.
That’s not a legitimate reason to pretend like your only living relative is still alive and
IT is a plot hole because if they can see the future- you realize the mother said all this bad stuff happened because she wasn’t a shaman- but again it did happen again— but take a step back if you see that as the future for your child- the first immediate reaction response you have is — I need to become a shaman and die early and cuz grandma to pretend you don’t exist —- shouldn’t the mother know of this stuff is going to pass so instead of leaving the grandson alone wouldn’t it have been better to plea with her mother HEY watch over him instead please….. The mother stated to the grandmother when the baby is basically a toddler that she saw this vision— how do you not see that issue- basically because of a future that hasn’t even happened yet the mother sacrificed herself so she decides to mistreat a toddler? That’s a stretch and really rough to swallow
No it's not a plot hole, it only looks that way because your comprehension skills are lacking, she didn't know how and when their destiny (mc and ml) were gonna collide, she only knew they were intertwined, and also, since you seem to think she's omnipotent, well she's not, she didn't know her mother would despice her grandson.
How is that a stretch, she was her daughter before he became her grandson, there are people out there in real life who abuse family members for way less than that.
I love when people try to have a conversation and think the best way to go about it is to insult another individual as if it makes you look better… why do I have to literally point out every detail for you to figure it out where the author went wrong. The mother saw a vision of what’s to come ITS KINDA common sense to have a discussion with your mother considering you went to your mom In the first place so concerned—- ALSO if you read someone else’s comment the mother stated she was going to die young regardless of her becoming a shaman or are you saying it’s justified to hate the grandchild because a distant future reincarnation of her daughter won’t have it as good as it’s gets? I didn’t say she was omnipotent but her vision is so vague that the thought that simply becoming a shaman is the only solution to “save her son” is a stretch you are telling me she couldn’t figure out any other ways to try to make sure that doesn’t happen…..
Regardless I indulged your first comment but this is now the second time, we are even having a conversation you are just being insulting, arrogant as well as pompous. Just pay attention/drool over the sex scenes and enjoying mediocre story lines if you can’t behave yourself at the adults table.
FYI My comprehensions skills aren’t lacking, GFY ^_^ have a great life. You can choose to further respond but you’ll be talking to a wall
I was also confused while reading the most recent chapter, but I think that the chapter just didn't explain what happened very well. I think that the mom meant that the future was inevitable, so in order to change it she needed to become a shaman, because if she weren't a shaman she wouldn't have the power to give MC another chance. Also, I'm not entirely sure about whether she gave the second chance to MC or ML, but what I think happened was that she sacrificed her life in order to save ML and then she gave up all of the luck for her next life to bring MC back. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
If your comprehension skills weren't lacking you would've know I never said her hate was ok, I said it was already explained, I also never said the story was amazing, but it's a pretty simple enough story to understand the plot of it. And unlike you I wasn't "drooling" over the sex scenes so I understood it pretty well.
Mom could never change his original fate, because it was connected to her directly marrying Nokyoung's dad, the reason grandmother was against it. She married her lover (who wasn't suited for her) and had baby (thereby cursing both their lives. She herself died young of some disease and Nokyoung had a bad end).
So, she became a Shaman because since she can't change the fact that she was already married and had unknowingly cursed her child, by turning into a Shaman and helping Junil (who she could see was the only good thing about her son's cursed existence), and exchanging her life for her son, she managed to borrow enough goodwill to get her son a second chance.
If she had known that her first decision (to marry her lover) would curse her future kids, she probably would have left him, but she realised it too late and did what she could.
So the mom sees a vision of the MC ending up a certain way BUT technically he still ended up like that- and this chapter stated the second chance wasn’t for the MC it was for the ML—- maybe a mistranslation I am not 100% sure. This story is nice I really liked it in the beginning now it’s repetitive I just needs to end soon. Also a little weird grandma living relative is still around but doesn’t spend time with grandson as much
