Tristan was the son of an asshole dude, Wren was a vampire abused by this asshole who finally killed him and raised Tristan.
One day asshole's brother came, fed Tristan some lies about vampires, and had him join a hunter organization led by him. Tristan thinks Wren died.
Ethan is a half-vampire who got caught in the middle of the hunter's latest mission after getting entangled with Tristan, they love each other, but he enchanted Tristan and I forgot the effects of it, but basically they are tied together and now Tristan can be used to kill Ethan.
Tristan defected the hunters org after learning the truth about vampires, and to protect Ethan, aka to stop his asshole uncle from using him to kill Ethan.
End of last season we saw that asshole uncle didn't kill Wren, but tortured him and kept him hidden, and now plans on using him to get Tristan back.
