The future uke was a straight man this entire time- it’s pretty low like I’d say about a 5% chance stuff like that happening in real life. Guys just don’t jump at the chance at bottoming and why the hell does it have to the only way things go gay relationships don’t exactly work like that and this uke is not some feminine twink not that it would matter but still
you forgot the part where its fiction, it doesn't have to be realistic. :)
If you want to read something more realistic, try reading Until I Meet My Husband if you haven't. Don't expect something to be realistic in a yaoi manhwa, 80% it would never happen and all you'll get is disappointment.
P.S. try learning that fiction ≠ reality
I am well aware it’s fiction but that aspect of fiction is why sometimes the lgbtq+ community has issues with yaoi because of its portrayal of male on male relationships—- I didn’t say I didn’t enjoy the work as a whole I am simply saying I don’t like putting characters into boxes of defined permanent sexual positions
Ngl I agree, (I finally searched up what seke means) I've been searching for a seke couple manga for so god damn long but the only things I can find try to insert leeway so its not actually seke. In a way though it's kind of funny how pretty much every manga asserts specific roles? I wonder if people think it's the same way in reality too
No hate, just tired of seeing these extremely in your face heteronormative stuff. It's just tiring that almost not a single piece of media here (especially in sexual aspects) seems to actually rep correctly unless it's made by the people themselves. Not that they have to of course but genuinely I feel like I searched everywhere and can only count with one hand how many actually did just that. I enjoy fiction, and like fiction because it's fiction, but sometimes it's nice to read something that I can look at and actually relate to. Sorry this was way longer than I thought it would be Anyway can someone give recommendations I beg of you
Im well aware of the hate yaoi is to the gay community, however, not all gay men prefer switching than to have a fixed position in bed. So just because 80% (or 90% not sure since its manhwa) of yaoi manhwas have a fixed sexual position, doesn't mean that its automatically "unrealistic". Besides, yaoi manhwa are known for having shitty toxic relationships so if gay rep is what you're looking for, don't expect much from yaoi manhwa. If you're looking for switch manhwas or mangas, then try searching for a list or ask on the question section, im pretty sure there are a bunch of works that has it. But if its gay rep you're looking for, its better if you read bara or try finding yaoi made by men because if you expect good rep from all yaoi manhwas then prepare to always get disappointed.
I can already foresee this story is going to make the guy with the glasses the seme and the other guy the uke —- regardless I just hate the permanent stamps they put on characters- why can’t they be a seki couple now that is more realistic
