That line where Makoto said “He went to a place where I can’t follow him” was wonderful to me. It took me a second to realize what he meant which was that now he is the most powerful demon, no one is capable of saying his name so he can’t die, leaving him w 2 choices: 1. Live long enough for everyone to forget his real name and vanish or 2. Find someone to surpass him so that he can say their name to shatter his soul. Beautiful. Idk why I find such an ending so beautiful.
