I love that it ended as a loop and I actually saw this coming even though I would have rather liked Jonathan and Makoto end up tgthr in the end. Also wasn’t it that as u said “Wald died because he loved Jonathan as his son” but Jonathan ceased to exist because he loved Wald still (had a lot of pent up regret and guilt) and now Makoto is trying to find someone to surpass him so that he could join Jonathan or just simply die? (Makoto had said that Jonathan had not ever loved him even once and that Jonathan was lying when he said that he loved Makoto at once).
It say that Wald's poison is so vicious, then do you know why J touch his hand in his bedroom cause Wald to extinguished?

Yes, maybe J look at M as more of a savior. But J also say that he is the greatest creation of W, sk he could not die easily. So J choose M to be the only one to say his name forever, and choose to die in front of M. Maybe that is J's way tomsay he also love M???
Hmmm I don’t think it’s his way to say that he loves M. I think J was lowkey just tired of life and wanted to die faster? But then again, these demon’s actions didnt make sense from the start ╮(￣▽￣)╭
"the only thing that can destroy a demon is falling in love." and he wasn't wrong tho. W died because he loved Jonathan as his son, Jonathan ceased to exist bcs he loved Makoto, and the cycle will forever continue as it is. I just love this manga, the gore and plot never missed a beat.
