It's called second chance for a reason. If he's still an ass even in this life, he should just kill himself then. Haha. So in this life, he needs to do everything to clean up all his mess. And if the MC finds out everything, it's up to him to decide to stay or not.

what are your thoughts on redemption here? does the ML being a better person in the second life actually do anything? i always feel conflicted with this trope cuz its like… you don’t deserve the second chance, the MC does. I personally feel like the ML should know he doesn’t deserve to be with the MC… he owes it to him to make his life better but with all the shit he’s done he doesn’t deserve to be his partner you feel me
