Ye which sucks. Honestly, if this is how Ayen is gonna be, fuck love. If I ever end up tearing up in some area of the forest, scared for my crush and mother instead of assisting my villagers or looking out for the village at least, thats my sign to go yeet and die and hope truck-kun delivers me into a world where if I have to rly be in a shounen story, Im not a damsel at all lol ╮(￣▽￣)╭
tbf they admitted in the stry that viki was weaker than both her mom and anolai and the death knights were at a level aiyen haven't reached yet
That's a really weak point cuz, again, ye Vikir was "weaker" but was up against the undead shaman and was playing partial support to Ayen's mom against S tier undead ancestor. We were literally shone panels of her people going up against the undead warriors and fs Ayen may be weak at the moment (?? which again wtf, if she's gonna be established at the v beginning of the story to be smn noteworthy in MC's memories, things shouldnt rly go south for her strength-wise), she could literally fight beside her people. Her people arent stronger than her, there's those who were the same age as her on the battle field ??? This was just terrible storytelling and an example of the shounen author throwing their female characters into the genius/strong warrior-to-damsel pipeline of an abyss. At the end of all this, it boils to abysmal writing and making Vikir shine at the cost of the ladies in his life ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Dont wanna make this too long but Ayen was hyped up as one of those barbarian prodigies at the beginning of the story. I dont understand why she was given backstage treatment when even her weaker constituents were fighting and even her mother's life was on the line fighting an S tier ancestor. Her story may have changed but the outcome should still have been the same = a stronger her.
It feels like our MC's presence was more of a detriment to her character and growth if anything which sucks.
Sometimes these shounen authors just wanna flaunt the goddamn harem without making their women characters purposeful and its so tiring. I closed my eyes with the harem signs but Ayen whose supposed to be grown and should rly be protecting her own tribe is going damsel in distress in some part of the forest tears streaming, legs quaking is wicked and insane.
