bc cousins are very closely blood related and its weird as hell, it may not be illegal in the story, but if the ML and FL were cousins i would drop it

So. I will explain this as simply as possible possible. The former king has his three kids, the current king, Malina, and Vanessa. Vanessa went on to be married into the Vanderwaal family, where she gave birth to Jonas and died. The Duke of Vanderwal took on a second wife Sophia, and that’s where the ML comes from. As for Greta (the former king sister) she’s the grandmother of Judith and Luca’s mom. Luca’s parents did unknowingly commit incest, but in no way are the FL and ML genetically connected, or legally binded as family.
