Well, his whole programming was to be the most loyal dog to Eris so in a way it’s perfect that he would love her even if it cost his life because all he wanted to do was follow her. He wasn’t really supposed to have a personality other than that. So I think it’s perfect but also now she has the most perfect bf irl and he probably can express himself better now that he’s not controlled by the rules because at the end you could tell he had way more depth than he was allowed to express.
100% agree with you. I prefer his character more than those typical arrogant fuck boy ml in the isekai world. I would rather have him rather those disrespectful ml out there.
i do believe this story didn't really need romance in it cuz that how good the story was but i don't think the romance was bad, in fact i loved it! it was the purest love. and i think that was the whole purpose with anakin, in the original novel in the manhwa anakin was just a side character, an NPC that loved eris and had no background story to him, his whole purpose was to love the villain regardless of anything so that's why his character was like that. and eris fell in love with him not the prince, the knight or the preist but with a sweet man.
that's the thing - why is it in this genre that the options are either a bland npc or what you said. Do authors not realise they can have non toxic ml's that are compelling and have a personality?
