Finally someone said it! We cannot of course justify the aunt's treatment of Tsuguya but we should also take into consideration what she felt. Post partum depression may have lead to her having major depressive disorder and maybe PTSD too. Unless treated with medications or psychotherapy, she will stay in that state. Did she intentionally want Tsuguya to feel alone or lonely? No. She actually only thought of herself, which lead to him feeling lonely. I experienced blaming myself to the death of my father (which lead to me having major depressive disorder) so I feel for the aunt. But of course, she is not free of blame for what she did to him. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Lol all the people carrying guilt in their mama-pouch like a baby…
Can relate. I see.
Me too. Hands down.
I’m really really really unexpectedly pleased by the non-pursuance of the ‘reconciliation arc’ because fuck that. The kids have done enough as is. This is their story, not the aunt’s. Like, I really want to see the aunt get better… but it’s not the kids’ lives’ purpose, man. So glad the author knows that.
I’ll be happy to see them meet at the babies’ wedding hehe.
I’m expectant and wishing to see everyone move on.
Yeah and I didn’t even know the author could and would actually pull such a great wild card out lol, of extracting empathy for the aunt. And like in such a real way.
Like, sum good jobbers good jobbing here.
Hehe.
Looks like some.of the commentator doesn't know how complicated our mind is. Mind you, she was the one who gave them the tickets and they died. Of course she will be guilty, and the fact that she was pregnant at that time made it worst because her hormones were unstable. It can be postpartum depression but I'm not sure. She wanted to love him and treasure him but the guilt was too much so she couldn't. I'm surprised she didn't killed herself nor harm the Tsuguya, imagine being tortured everyday by your own mind, by your own self while living? And let's not forget how her body reacts first when Tsuguya is in danger, she wanted to protect him in her own ways. Yes, what she did caused traumatic experience for the ML and I'm glad the author didnt pursue that reconciling arc. It will probably take more time to be in an 'okay' relationship after all of that. At least MC got to know the reasons why he was not accepted.
