I think I saw someone say there's a modern timeline but I could be completely wrong there?
Then second timeline must be driving them both insane so bad. Aeroc being confused by wanting to get away but can't (oh the pain) and the kloff wanting aeroc bad and then there's the flashbacks giving him headaches
It’s OG Klopp returning, this is a speculation but I think the elderly Klopp (OG) is still alive in world 1. Because at some point in the novel, in vol 4, Aelock sees the elderly Klopp who was withering in the first world.
In Klopp’s return, he meets a Aelock without the memories, no dreams of the first life. The Aelock of that world will remain clueless to the end. Unlike Aelock’s return, Klopp’s was more of an insane ride, because after years of being in a hell without Aelock, he knew what he really wanted, he does everything to insert himself back into Aelock’s life. The relationship in that arc is much crazier.
I’ve read the summary of all three lifetimes and in this lifetime aeroc has all his memories from the 1st and klopp does not remember but his soul does, so he’s in agony when he’s with aeroc.
I thought the first lifetime would be the most painful but seeing the drawn expressions of aeroc in the 2nd lifetime looking at klopp (yearning for him) pulls at your heartstrings. I just know aeroc’s holding back himself so bad because he wants to keep his promise to klopp in the first timeline, which is to stay away from his lover and help klopp as well (but he still loves him sm despite his 1st life T_T) imagine how painful that is to aeroc?! Still, I’m excited because this story breaks my heart like no other. It’s definitely worth the read and time!
