It's not the hair color that's overused but the same inaccurate time period.
umm if you ask any regular historical manhwa reader then you can see them saying the northern duke = cold dark haired guy

Agreed, though in terms of choices its either the white/black haired red eyed northern duke , the royal family which always has the same physical or magical attribute that makes them recognizable or the other third choice ml who is always forgetable and is prolly dirt poor. Not really so much about the hair color too but more on the same cliche and overrepeated concept BUTTT
ngl i find black haired MLs always tiring to look at and just very common its like always looking at the trees on a roadtrip

gurl i feel you...when i started reading manhwas was like when "remarried empress" came out...and oh god i started with really bright haired and puppy like mls like in this one and beware of villainess and miss not so sidekick and all but i saw the black/dark hair cold mls who rule over north and stuff....i liked them but now they all are tiring...same base plot...same ml characteristics and powers stuff... i need the puppy bright cheerful ml's again but it's hard to find them now

every author uses the same description now...it's been so long since i actually saw a light colored ml.... like a blonde bbg or a silver haired bbg or a red haired bbg...like aahhh i love black hair mls but it's been so long with them...i need someone other than black haired mls but the same description of their personality.... i like the ml in "actually i was the real one"...i love sir joseph too but that ml just gives me something other than black haired ml who are soft yet cold on outside....
