from what ive gathered from ch75, the mother was preggy with ippolito and was not married at the time so she lived with simone to avoid prosecution since unmarried preggy women are detested.. whilst living with simon and having plans to run away with ippolitos father, she got preggy with arabella tying herself to the de mare family.
but when u think about it... if this were rlly the case... that would mean... during that time... in order to stay with simon, she had to make it that the child shes carrying is simons right??? since she was scared of letting the current simon find out.. that would also mean that isabella is not simons daughter since the mother specifically said that arabellas birth made her prevent from running away from the man who ruined her life (aka simon)???

Then why does having Arabella matters?
