Honestly, though horrible things are happening in the story the Alpha is actually a perfect example of what to look out for/avoid in relationships. I saw a lot of people defending his behaviour earlier in the story, but it wasn't surprising he started acting like this because he showed numerous red flags/warning signs of this behaviour since the beginning.
And before people bring up alpha/beta/omega and their 'primal' dynamics, how come only the bad behaviour is beyond their control then? A lot of possessive animals are extremely doting on their mate and give them gifts and food all the time. How come that's never highlighted? Why is it only the violence and r-word that seem to come out when they have 'primal urges.' It's total bs
