Sadly, I agree. It seems this story has fallen into what I call the “Flashback Trap” A story with a flashback that goes on for way too long when we could have gotten the same idea with much less. This may be the third comic I’ve read where this has happened, sometimes it can be saved but if it’s still stuck in flashback mode after 5+ chapters, the writing is usually doomed and won’t get better. At least in my experience. Too bad, this was an interesting one too. A drop for sure
the longest flashback I can think of is Eternal Covenant. It's basically a whole other story with the same amount of detailed story telling as the main story so it's taking a reaaallly long time. I like the info we're learning but with how fleshed out it is, I feel it should've just been a prequel story released to supplement much shorter flashback chapters.
The flashback also started when a really big conflict was picking up between the characters so not great timing....
