the cringe is intentional. i also kinda cringe at myself when i make a chapter.
but personally, that's what makes it funny. what's the point of worrying about the cringe when you only live once? my entire life is cringe, and so-- my humor is as equally cringe
anyways, go on, keep reading and embrace the cringe. that's how we do it in delusionaltown. please keep hating too, i personally find reading them fun.
help-- they're literally gay? i'm in no way hating on gays, i just imply kdj's gay.
anyways, if you're talking about the first chapter, i'm not even the one who came up with the lines. and I don't see where i'm being ableist?
i'm thinking you probably just read first chapter. if not, alright. not forcing you to read it, just encouraging for you to do so. i do my best to make funny lines without being harmful in anyway.
if the 'ableist' thing is about the line, 'go away brain monsters, i took my meds today!' i'm playing on this joke of taking meds, a very popular joke. i like to think whoever yelled this line is just a poor guy on the end of his wits, hallucinating due to extreme study/work stress and on medications. i kinda feel bad for him though.
if it's about the schizo thing, i'm sorry about it. i didn't mean for it to be that way, I'm trying to get across kdj's weird thinking that took inspiration from nicole's from class of 09. it's more of a dismissive thing of him thinking he finally gone completely insane after reading the same novel for 10+ years. which is, kinda a normal way of thinking for a person who thinks in satire.
if any jokes that comes across as a bad thing, please point it out. if it's bad enough, I'll change it. if not, I can explain to you why they're not that.
i’ve only read through the first two chapters so:
- first of all, you making joongdok gay doesn’t automatically absolve you of being homophobic and homophobia can extend beyond “hatred”. eg prejudice
>> a lot of the jokes being made degrade and sexualise gay men
>> homophobic terms and phrases
- making derogatory jokes about mental illness is ableist, no matter the intention. it “being popular” or “inspo” isn’t an excuse lmao
tbh kinda cringe
