You people are literally braindead

I don’t understand you commenters. From chapter 1, it has been clear this is a dark story about a PROSTITUTE who grew up in a literal WHOREHOUSE. This is not a sweet, fluffy romance. From chapter 1, it has been established that older men have preyed on him, even when he was a child, and that no one has truly cared about him. His story is told with some dark, dry humor as that is the character’s way of coping, however the subject matter is clearly very brutal. FROM CHAPTER 1. So I don’t understand… why are you guys confused and feeling cheated? This author always writes about prostitution and the MCs always are hyper sexual and feel as though their bodies don’t belong to them. It is the author’s choice to depict such subject matter as she sees fit, and imo though the content is sexual it is not at all glorified or romanticized.

How is it sexualized? The MC just looks tortured, exhausted, and broken, except when he’s with the ML. Portraying graphic rape doesn’t necessarily mean sexualized. the alternative is to “fade to black” when depicting rape, which I feel is a cop out. If an author going to write about such a dark subject, then an author should have the guts to portray it. I also like how the author makes the ML the only one who doesn’t force the MC.

Compared to something like Dark Fall which is rape clearly sexualized and drawn to titillate.

Author doesn’t really portray the expressions well. Who tf is blushing while being gang raped/forced? If anything, disgust should be the norm reaction.

Portraying graphic rape doesn’t have to show every explicit scenes, some authors just do it because they enjoy drawing stuff like that. It’s fiction of course but eh leaves a bad taste, but again I’m just reading to find out the ending and make sure MC gets a happy ending.
