exactly what i feel about kaji! it's either people get what they want - an aromantic rep and kaji gets absolutely destroyed, OR the aromantic undertones get butchered and fukami ends up not being one after all! pick your poison that's why i really didn't want this to become a topic regarding labels cause the aromantic umbrella is so convoluted...
tbh, i don't really think fukami is aromantic, bc i have seen this "i don't know how to love" trope in many stories, most of them are yuri. and they always goes like this:
1. the mc doesn't know what love is
2. they meet someone and they start to develop feelings
3. they realize they actually love the other person and finally knows what love is
im just kinda expecting this is how is gonna go bc it's normally like this. but if the author states that fukami rly is aromantic, then they should do one the options i said before.
a lot of people here r saying they expect the uke is aromantic and that's fine. but from what im seeing here, the seme is kinda putting expectations that the uke is going to fall in love with him at some point and to me that's just sad. i feel so bad for him.
bc i have been in a situation when i put a lot of expectations in someone and they couldn't achieve them, bc it was something they couldn't do and it was horrible.
so if u fall in love w an aromantic person who doesn't feel comfortable at all w romantic concepts, don't expect them to love you back. and to me, it feels like kaji wants that.
so if the author is going to continue w this path, it's going to be heartbreaking for kaji and for fukami.
the author should at least make kaji understand that the uke isn't going to fall in love w him or make the uke fall in love w him at some point, bc from the way things r going now, it's just sad for me
