Seriously the only saving grace for me! She acts like an adult and is not at all childish and that’s what makes her so lovable..
Isnt because of the lack of nutrition on her food cause she lives in the red district plus she also keeps on drinking and experimenting poison on herself so thats probably why it affected her body so much
i was about to comment this too! her size makes sense when you think about her backstory and also what we know of the ml’s background to explain his stature and size. they didn’t make her dainty or similar to a child, she’s petite and grew up in a rough environment. her being physically weaker is part of why she was so keen on making herself look ugly, because it doesn’t look like shortness is desired among men (when you refer to the concubines and entertainment women) but they make for good servants. plus her constantly learning helps with her survival, as she knows it's one of her only strengths :)
this is no hate to op, of course this is your opinion and you can feel however you want. but there’s not necessarily a problem with height differences unless the short partner is displaying kid-like behavior or there’s also a drastic age gap tbh. if you’re associating short height with children, its kinda brushing off how short and mature women do exist in other stories

That does make sense, but I realised that after reading some chapters. You have to agree that having small FL is a well known trope, and it was my mistake of thinking this is the same but I have become to reading that trope
No you are right. It was my mistake to think it was the same trope as most shoujo manga. After reading further it becomes clear that Maomao is nothing like a child and acts maturely.
