He spent how many years doing what he does to get on ppls good side and still doesnt realize how it's bad if said person is actually going to be in on the details with you ??? Nah fam. I mean go ahead and read ppls minds and get them in a better sutuation if it satisfies you, but you dont do that if the person is meant to mean something to you (stay in your personal life), tf. And he complains that achilles lost passion and went for a normal job. Who tf wouldn't lose passion after all that and settle down. Barper thinks he's made it with the Youtube think but the youtube thing was nothing but as much of a cruch to cling to positive attention as achilles conforming to society (in a way, hermes decided to conform to society instead of realizing how to build a friendship not just based around his oh so god given talent when his problem is that he's literally lonely as hell, but nooo he needs adoration from a billion ppl 24/7 to feel normal now because it's the onky way he knows how to cope with knowing everything about everyone). Hermes simply did what plenty of youtubers out there would have done with that power as well, curbing favor through godly advise or impressing them with uncanny accuracies. Parasocial ≠ social. To him, his fans are as much a parasocial god to him as he and god are to the people. At the very least, it lead him to finally find someone like him who he could potentially actually build a long life with. He needs that consent tea video dumbed down to his level so he can understand smh.
No, he just shouldn't act all high and mighty when the reason he's an influencer is that he needs a bunch of human validation and he invades his viewers minds to do so, he also shouldn't act like he's better than Adrian when he literally invaded his privacy by finding things out about him that he wasn't ready to tell.
Achilles is sad and alone for a reason, he lost everyone and everything close to him so he's deeply traumatised and doesn't want to risk that again, he tried for centuries, and you can imagine how many people you've lost when you've been at it for that long, the most significant one being the love of his life as he says. Be so fr, Harper is obv in the wrong here
Be fr, not only does he do it all for himself in the end, it's his coping mechanism. As soon as even a little general human attention steers away from him he feels immense anxiety WHICH IS NOT NORMAL EVEN FOR SOMEONE WHO MAY NEED A LITTLE MORE ATTENTION THAN OTHERS. + Also what Anonymous helped sum it up as. I did say there isnt anything inherently wrong with choosing to do those things for other people (so long as you pretty much stay out of their personal lives), but it is NEVER ok to do that toward someone who is potentially meant to stay in your life. It just isn't sustainable whatsoever and after all these years of him living, he has yet to realize what boundaries should actually look like and when it's better to respect them than let curiosity overtake him. He doesnt realize there's a way more sustainable way to earn human validation... which is simply putting another person before yourself. Hermes has yet to truky think of soemone before himself. He crrated a magical day for adrien not for adriens sake, but for his own sake, because he couldnt stand the anxiety surrounding their situationship and he thought if he made adrien happy it would magically get them on good terms... like no dingus, the only way to do that is to have an honest conversation. He cohldve started that convo with adrien as soon as he was sure he was achilles-- to do that he didnt even have to necessarily know his ENTIRE story to be like yeah I believe he is achilles. It's just fucked up considering achilles' thoughts were definitely a puzzle for Hermes. Hermes could have deciphered 20% even 40% to figure the achilles part out, but he ended up deciphering like 70-90% before speaking up when it was already obvious for a while that achilles was worried about a relationahip with someone who probably wasn't like him...
fuck that mf acting as if reading his mind is not a bad thing
