If he were serious, but the conversation made the tone 'sound' pretty tongue-in-cheek to me... about the same level of seriousness I'd give the "Die already" on the last page, but that just my opinion.
I love this. From 'we've been best friends for forever' to
'I can't believe you took my girl (make her happy)' to
'What? she played him the same way she played me?' to
'Now that we've both been played by the same hussy, we're even; hard feelings canceled out,' to
'We've been best friends since forever.'
I don't see bromance here. I see a friendship, but it's not your average friendship. These guys will be meeting up on the beach with wife and kids in tow just so they can bump knuckles and say 'remember when?' So cool!
