Completely overlooked that! Whoops, okay that part of the theory is debunked LOL. But I’m still trying to figure out how he’s partially “awoken” when memories should save when inserting a cassette tape even when it’s ejected. Right? But he only started to remember the game when his lover died so that must’ve been a catalyst, no?Also, did Doha give him the tape or did he always have it, since he should be able to remember things from all the other previous games instead of just the ones after Doha got “awoken”…. Hm… (you don’t have to answer these lmaoo I’m just yapping at to myself (=・ω・=))
i hope he isn’t either!! but after posting that long essay like theory, I actually think he is. Usually in slasher games (purely my own opinion), the npcs/main character can’t actually kill the killer but they can stun them for a specific amount of time and that’s what Bada attacks do. While when doha kills the murder, another murder appears. It’s like Doha is an anomaly and his consciousness broke the game entirely.
Unless… they’re all player characters, each trapped in their own individual game (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Omg bada bring the only npc will be so twisted and cruel, also if I'm not wrong, bada's attack does no damage whatsoever, like he can't kill the killer at all, that's why he was shocked to see doha kill the killer temporarily, I feel like doha is the main character, and bada is there to guide or give company? Given how fast doha seems to grip on things, I had initially theory, we are literally watching a game, like some real people playing and this is the game we are witnessing it lol, ngl, if doha will be the actual main character, it would be so fun, like we've witnessed events from a npc's perspective
I feel like Doha is playing the long game with Bada. On the surface, it seems like he’s helping Bada but I feel like his ultimate goal is so much deeper. Maybe to stop Bada from finishing the game.
The killing of the random villager in the first chapter despite not being "awoken" could be him stopping Bada from achieving the ‘true’ ending he needed. I honestly think just like how the blue haired ‘good natured idiot’ started to awaken despite not using a cassette player, instead the love of his life died and he became distraught. I think something similar happened to Doha with Bada but Bada doesn’t remember because he died before he could save the game. This could explain Doha's obsessive focus on Bada.
I really think he was just pretending to be a player and was very careful about going off script UNTIL bada went off script first cuz he smirked when Bada snapped on him. That’s how he confirmed that bada was a player after the 18-19th game because he felt bada acting differently compared to other games. Bada previously mentioned that his moral compass was ’broken’ but I personally don’t believe he had one in the first place as he has disregard for everyone’s life, this also goes with why he keeps telling the other NPC’s/Players to do things that raises a death flag.
I also believe he plays a bigger role to bada than we realize. As far as we know, he can kill the murder and Bada “can’t”, as in the killer resurrects (this also makes me believe that Bada is the only NPC while the rest are players). Bada also mentions that when he went around telling the others that they were in a video game, Doha simply ignored him, maybe hes a player character but doesn’t want Bada to know because he doesn’t want to be separated from him as they’ll never be able to find each other again if they finish the game. He also “discovered” a hidden cassette player but it was on top of a high cabinet so how did he see it? Also in the panel it looks like he’s breaking the 4th wall, instead of looking at the cassette player he’s looking at the readers, but I don’t know if that’s on purpose by the author or not. Also him putting a tape into the black cassette unlocked the house where the family was murdered, very interesting since after the torture mission they saw a newspaper clipping of the house and the house has those black cassettes instead of the white one Bada uses.
Bada is also obviously an unreliable narrator as we’re only seeing the game from his perspective so some of the things Doha told him could be straight up lies, i personally don’t believe the story he told Bada when he killed the second murder before they had sex because no one raised a death flag, unless Doha being alone was the death flag, and we never get to see how Doha dies to reset the game. Also notice how the killer NEVER targets Doha. Suspicious.
TLDR: Doha is suspicious and probably is secretly sabotaging Bada
I jump around a lot but I SWEAR this makes sense to me guys, I SWEAR!!!
