You know plot twists are a thing and it doesn't mean it's a bad reading?
You don't like the ending, understandable, it is toxic, but it is a good and realistic portrayal of "you never know what that person really is" which is cool.
Not everyone actually manages to pull off a good plot twist of real life scenarios.
