Actually the mom killed herself infront of her because she was jealous that her daughter (MC) was more talented than her (the mom). MC mom plagiarized all her daughters work and used it for herself all while abusing MC.

Wait what if the dad isn’t good, what if he really did break her finger so she can’t draw and she see that her mother’s art was hers all this time as well get her memories back to see how terrible they all were in depth. They did say her father only loved her mother honestly, so he’s trying to protect her image at the cost of his daughter’s. Idk why she’d kill herself though.
