Completely agree and I feel that her confusion to having feelings for him vs following her heart for something else is literally what every person can feel. Like she feel for him oh then go fucking make babies..? hell,no...u go live your life first get to know him,do it when u are comfortable or just leave after discussing it with him that you need time and come back after if he can wait and understand.
Literally, I’m glad they only apply their opinions like this to mangas because if it was real life they’d be 5 kids in by age 21 because an emotionally unavailable guy said hey to them.
I agree with everything but tbf, with the ML’s situation, his mother’s dead while his father is bedridden because of the FL’s father and the guy is still actively trying to destroy them and making the territory so poor which is why I wouldn’t have treated my parents’ murderer all too well either. Of course, I know that the sin of the parents is not the sin of the offspring but she was acting in love with him at first and if my parents’ murderer acted like that with me too, I would’ve seen them in a bad light and would be cold to them because of how inconsiderate they are acting while knowing that my parents were killed by their father. In my eyes, I would’ve seen them as immature, selfish and inconsiderate for even having the though of liking me even though they know that their father killed my mother, made my father bedridden and caused the people around me to starve. That’s exactly my point, that’s how he viewed her by his perspective and treated her accordingly by his assumption. So it makes complete sense that she doesn’t want a future with him, he treated her badly even if he believed it was justified.
Honestly the fact that most people don’t agree with her decision to not have kids or fall in love with the duke was actually shocking. She was abused for 20+ years, she finally found a husband to escape the pain with just to be drugged and publicly sexually assaulted, then finally strangled to death as HIS idea just to come back and 3 hours later be engaged to a stranger who she wasn’t even sure would kill her or not? He treated her like shit because of her dad who also treated her like shit. He may like her now because she proved her worth by taking them millions of dollars out of debt, fixing starvation with the poor, seeking help from dwarfs to elevate their armor and weapons. Imagine how he’d be treating her without her doing that? Imagine if the aunt would’ve framed her without her contributions? Would they have defended her? Highly doubt it. Even when she got them out of debt he treated her badly, so I can understand why she feels the way she does. If she wasn’t pretty much their money mule, they would still be treating her like trash. I think so many of people on manga are used to josei isekais that be sex 5 chapters in, that they’re not used to a story that makes a woman more than a baby making love fanatic.
