I assume "aa-chan" is probably derived from "kaa-chan" (mother). Maybe they translated it to "mommy" from that in the previous ones

it's just me or what but i got confused or it irked as to why shouta is calling akira "aa-chan" now and not "mommy" like before while still calling his papa as papa ?? （￣へ￣）
