Im actually with u on this one. It felt unnecessary to the plot too.. id much rather have extra fluff chapter of something. Though running into the ex gf is pretty normal, heck my bf was a playboy w ex fuckbuddies around campus n i was insecure as hell. HOWEVER i am not a fan on how Taichi handled that tbh. I hated that he bolted when things werent going his way.
He did like her, she just thought he didn't due to the cold way he treated her after his fever—remember his fever is what most likely spurred on his sudden deafness, he wasn't in a good mental place following that so he treated her & everyone around him coldly. It's shitty definitely but he did like her
I really hate the exgf thingy... why did you go out with her in the first place if you don't like her? For whatever reason? I really hate boys like this. Ruining my reading experience.
