
Hmmm... not really the "me" problem but more like how theyve always been thinking they can never do more about their situation but when the lives switched the new person/perspectives see things the former hasnt.
Though i cant really fault their previous behavior since theyve been conditioned and their situation really sucked though

I can't really give you a good answer to your thought but you have to go beyond on what it really meant. It's like putting your shoe onto theirs, everything you lack on is what that other person can do if you've switch yours to their lives and everything that person lack on is were you're good at. There's like a quote saying "Nobody in a public crowd can understand your true talent until you get the right audience.*
The problem isn't you but your surrounding, you just found the place that you were supposed to fit in that's why.
