I think it's time that you confess, not to be accepted or anything, but to move on (since that was on your wishlist). You don't need to expect anything in return. You can have the time to recover (lol) during christmas break when something happens.
It's up to you on how you would do it. Maybe plan the date and place where the two of you could be alone and talk things out to maybe clear some misunderstandings or ask how the two of you are doing, and then confess.
