The women get better

I see a lot of you all complaining about all the women being the same and calling the number of them suspicious.

The women get better, but it is a harem (though one where a choice will have to be made at the end):
As someone who's read a good bit of the novel, at least in that version the women get better once he gets to the academy. More do get added to his surroundings and it does get some harem vibes, but the new ones all have their own stuff going on so they are at least distinct from the previous ones in personality. Where I read to, there were three women who were genuinely trying to be in a relationship with him that didn't have their attempts treated like a joke.

Funny Spoiler:
Some other characters comment on how he has three female servants and it leads to him having a playboy reputation despite never doing anything to warrant one. His high charisma stat that they mentioned at the start gets him in some trouble despite all his efforts to act like a villain. The MC complains internally that he was aiming for his character to be seen as a haughty aristocrat, not a playboy trash aristocrat. Apparently, his dad had a "weakness" for women when he was at the academy (he didn't know that the things he did were seen as flirting by them and he had a hard time giving a straight rejecting to their advances), so when he hears those rumors about his son he tries to give advice about it and our MC is like "not you too..."

So his dad also a pushover back then. That's funny.

The most ironic thing is that he has an official fiance, other options should not even be in play. With aristocracy, you're not just dealing with a lone female, you're dealing with her whole family.Σ( ̄□ ̄||)

It's not a spoiler or anything, but something that they don't make clear here but do in the novel is that their engagement was not publicly announced. It was just an agreement between their families for political reasons that wasn't announced to the royal family for the same political reasons. If the royal family saw a marriage alliance between their houses they might look like they're gathering power to start a coup. So their family members and close servants know and rumors are going around about it amongst the nobility, but neither house has said anything to confirm or deny the rumors.
