Ch11 exceeded my expectations!! And long thoughts ahead

I just really love how high diving is used as a metaphorical device for many things in here; like how it is akin to falling in love, climbing up even though you're scared and even if sometimes it hurts. Asagiri finally understood Hikari.

I thought at first that he will soon understand her once he himself experience his own unrequited love (presumably towards her), yet instead he has come to realize how similar her struggles are to his own struggle in seeking validation from his mother.

Also, I just love how the line "is it fun to watch people from above?" can take on different meanings. Hikari meant for it to be a call out on Asagiri's arrogance and nonchalance, but I feel like it can also be a question (though not intentionally be by Hikari) of whether he can still find fun in high diving even though he hasn't received any validation that he sought from his mother.

I'm so curious on how his arc will end because unlike the other protagonists, I don't find his unrequited love as explicit (though there is some unconscious attraction). Add to that, he still needs to reconcile and actually ease up the tension in their relationship, so I guess the next chapter will be meaty!!! Also also, I wonder how he'll handle his unrequited love, will he also accept it and be passive abt it like the other three or will he take the initative and be direct about it? He seems to be the guy to be the direct about it... but we also need to consider that he might have developed a fear of rejection.

Anyways, I just love this manga sm. It's been so long since I've written essays for a manga lol.
