Exactly! This is why every nobles, royals, and the like in this kind of stories are always very easy to dislike. Like the duke’s family, for example. What’s so noble about them? The poor butler’s son was traumatized by the duke, and he didn’t apologize because what? Being a duke means not taking accountability for something you’ve done wrong? Even more so if you’ve done something wrong to the other person who you think is below you? I don’t really know how their twisted thinking works.
