Honestly its why i love this story so much..shes not an adult who knows all she thinks like a mother always putting her kids first like it comes natural to her!
I love this story because of Mildred and her chemistry with the baron
Her maturity as Mildred is so different than other Step mother trope plots. Like its so natural for her to act as a mother and shes not the overly gushing mother type where her mind is on her daughters' these and that (except for the fact she thought Ashley as Cinderella). Unlike Mildred, other FLs seems like an older human who wants to be nice and kind to people younger than them, Mildred's maturity has this patience that you see on mothers who are collected and accepts that their kids are people who you could not just outright spoonfeed.
