It's honestly very realistic to young relationships. The one with the glasses was very mature for his age, but the blonde one's actions make so much sense for an anxious teen. It is kinda annoying, but it does fit the characters age well. The insecurity of "He looks so much better with her." is also a big thing with young LGBTQ+ couples since they are still figuring out their sexuality and how it can affect how others view them and how they view themselves.
Overall, good art and a potential good story that is overshadowed by how fast paced it is.
