What about Isabella? the whole thing is pointing that the mom got pregnant with ippolitto before she married which is why she trick the cardinal so that she can be safe. But after giving birth, she wanted to run away with ippolitto's father but couldn't because she got pregnant with Arabella. Right?
Or Isabella is also the lover's child?
