Personally, I think that a huge motivator was the fact his parents didn't approve of her to the point they were willing to cut him out of his inheretence position to own this company.
While the FL did have an inferiority complex, it's really rough becoming the wedge between your partner and their parents.
She didn't want him to lose out on both his inherited company (job) and family just for her, who in her head, had next to nothing.

i mean i guess i understand but it doesn’t change the fact she made a big decision on behalf of both of them. while she made her decision for the “sake”of him, he never asked for that. it’s a selfish action, and it really undermines the ml and everything he did to get to that position with her. she left him in the dark and literally left him for half a year
I like the concept of the story, very tragic but i definitely wished the part of her growing to like him was shown more rather than rushed.
i think it was really stupid tho how she decided to leave him after he proved himself and thinks he would be “better off without her”. like girl he’s been waiting long enough i’m pretty sure he thought ab how his parents reacted before he even got with you. that’s unnecessary drama and it just makes me feel bad for the ml bc like the fl was really selfish for just leaving like that. made me irritated fr
