As much as I love this series, the evil queen is a very cliche character, there are same villains in non-bl stories, with basically the exact same plot (where the evil step-mother-queen wants to make her own child the crown prince, and they often use these magical curses). But it's refreshing to see it in a BL story
The Queen is genuinely a very good villain. Like, I'd put her among the top of BL villains since they're usually kinda shit, ngl lmao
