You will get some insights about the general progression of the monsterisation. But the path of the characters is completely different.
You'll be fine. The webtoom is completely different from the kdrama. This is basically season 1. Season 2 and 3 of the show is completely different so u won't be spoiled
I really want to read this after finishing season 2 of the show but I don't know if I should read it right now or wait until season 3 comes out...but another problem is that it's coming out the summer of 2024
