Sorry about that but I have now caught up with the translation of book 2 and so far riftan has improved . After reading a bit from riftan's POV I understand him a little but he still needs immense development. Anyhow their relationship is quite cute at the current chapters . So I encourage you to read the novel bc their is no development in their relationship any time soon for the manhwa.

For me book 2 was baad, At first I was happy with maxi development, but then in the middle she STILL want to prove something to riftan and wants his approval, like seriously girl?
And the whole still jealous of agnes was a broken old record

I'm just here to vent my frustrations guys. I'm in the middle of BOOK 2 and maxi and Riftan STILL don't have any healthy communication. It's absurd honestly. Book 2 so far is only about war and barely any romance . But I gotta say Maxi has improved so much , I am so proud of her. She is literally a leader of the rear support in the war now. She is a great mage and maxi is very brave now too. I love her but for riftan there's barely any character development. Like her friendship with Ruth is wayyyyy more interesting than her relationship with riftan. Riftan is just a disappointment.
