There is a true 1st timeline where Carcel and Ines were married and they actually loved each other. The second and third timelines where she was married to Oscar / Emiliano, he secretly loved her as well. She will eventually accept and return Carcel's love in this current timeline, and it will be beautiful :)

I havent read the novel. BUT why do I feel like in all the timelines carcel has been secretly in love with ines even though she had different husbands. And at this timeline its his time to be her husband but ines has been too focused on surviving that she couldn’t appreciate carcel more. The story is getting good.
