What I think is going to happen is that potato gets reunited with his mom (we already saw this happen earlier) and then they don't see each other for years. Eventually when they reunite as adults, potato gets feelings
I don't think so. I dont think Wolfking has intention of letting Potato fo anywhere. Kids had crushes on their closest authority figures - teachers, babysitters, older relatives... It's common. In most cases they grow out of it and move on. It's the adults responsibility to draw a clear line between them, which the Wolfking has done.
For him, Potato is always his little baby boy.
