Is it even necessary to make a perfect character to do shit like that
Thanks for the spoilers. So the MC's going to die so the ML felt bad then wtf. I read some spoilers before (novel), it's much worse but since the manhua is an adaptation, I hope the artist add some more redemption arc for the ML (which is nearly impossible but I still hope)
Redemption arc in the novel is quite satisfying too, after finding out mc is dying, ml goes full180 and becomes humble real quick, author really seems to be trying to redeem him. He becomes better but when you think about what happened to mc , his redemption feels like nothing. I feel like this should be published separately from silent lover, I always be trying to understand how honger raised such a pushover and how yu er raised such an asshole, they rarely appears in this sequel.
Do you know what happened to their adopted child? I heard that MC uke & Peí are having a baby to raise . But after his death MC uke gets back with Crown Prince. But what about the kid? Did he just left him?
I guess they’re trying to tone it down in manhua version, he treats mc much worse in the novel. He actually goes to the blonde guy when Mc was sick and thinks MC is in no place to make him feel uneasy or guilty. He doesn’t really care, but in the manhua it depicts him as if he is caring somehow.The emperor gets poisoned by the food that is made by the blonde, but somehow the blonde convinces Ml that it was the MC who poisoned the king because mc’s real father was an enemy. Stupid ml believes it and imprisons/ tortures mc. During the torture Mc gets tortured harshly and gets painted in blood, novel emphasizes how he gets all bloodied up. Ml brands mc in prison.Pei and the doctor friend, tries to help mc and find the origin of the poison. Daddy emperor wakes up, they find out the real poisoner. And when Mc gets out of the prison, he becomes blind. He finds out he only has like 6? months to live, and tries to get divorce. The ml has an audacity to refuse the divorce. Mc has had enough, he finally gets a divorce in front of the emperor by cutting off his flesh that’s been branded by the Ml. Mc goes back to general’s home. Ml snoops around to get mc back, and finally finds out about his disease, that’s when the regret starts.After sending Pei off to his country, Mc gets kidnapped and almost dies. MC goes missing pei and Ml look for him for months. They finally find him to realize mc is so close to death. Ml snatches Mc and goes looking for the plant for the disease cure. Mc literally dies, but mc finds the plant, and somehow revives him, but mc goes missing again. Mc becomes mentally disabled, and scared of ml now. Mc and Pei is finally going to get married, Pei is dying too, but mc really doesn’t have any romantic feeling for Pei. Ml appears and pei feels insecure and starts using some kind of witchcraft to control mc’s action to make him kiss him/ love him etc. It’s quite obvious that mc s gonna get back with ml now… so we have a long journey ahead..
