Besides the pretty art, it's the promise of redemption for an otherwise appalling human being. Whispers of it here and there, but still so underdeveloped that many have long lost their patience. I'm gonna guess the original storyline was much faster paced, but once Mingwa and Co. realized they had a hit on their hands, they began dragging it out in order to make more money off it (understandable). Sadly, this is a common mistake that even the best manga/manhwa have made and it has ruined many good stories
