Cliff has no interest in Edith. If she was left to die, cliff would look away in purpose, to let her die. He do not give a fuck. He's brainwashed to no give a fuck.
Not to mention he really does love the protag, even to the end. Never falls for edith- but does eventually admit to his vices/wrongs, I think grudgingly.

Oh no, he does break out of it, and marries a 'normal' lady, not an extraordinary looking woman, and becomes a fool for his wife. But I don't think he ever apologized for what he done. The Duchess was the only one who did something for her forgiveness, I think. I don't think she verbally apologized either. I feel a little bad for cliff at that part tho. Like his personality was completely wrapped into what that Lil bitch likes.
Will Cliff try to seduce Edith? Or actually fall for her?
I was remembering about "for my abandoned love" bc the duke and the crown prince were bffs until the crown prince got the og FL. Later in the story, from spoilers I read, the crown prince goes from disliking Hestia to falling in love with her. I wonder if the same things gonna happen here.
