An amazing read! Definitely will buy the physical copy one day

I ended up stopping halfway because of entrance exams (grad school), but I am so glad I managed to finish it. It's such a nice coming of age story. And just because there is no kiss the romance aspect is still there, sometimes the story ends when the special relationship is just about to begin, and the point of the story we've been told was to show other things such as, in this case, friendships forming, reflections about life and loneliness, a good side cast, and the deepening of the bond of two girls who are still trying to figure out who they are.
The "I wanna be your frog" and all that talk about being together forever is romantic and to me this is enough. They form other friendships and the way they see those people and each other is so clearly different that there is no real space for doubt. So, people complain about no kisses is something I completely disagree. The story might not be officially tagged as such, but it definitely is Yuri-ish.

This story is definitely worth the read. And the visuals are amazing. It would be awesome if it got an anime adaptation like Bloom Into You and Adachi and Shimamura. I actually think a narrative pacing like the one in the AdaShima anime would fit the whole transitions between the real scenarios and the "space" the characters are transported to in moments of introspection. Aquatope on White Sand is another example of how I think the story should be executed.

Really hope it is picked up by a studio one day, even if Yuri/Shoujo Ai stories don't get as much attention as they deserve. We do have some pretty good anime adaptations of GL (or subtext) stories this season, and there are more to come next year. The last volume came out in 2021 in Japan, but there is hope for an adaptation, right? I want to dream.
