The story was felt sweet but just thinking about their relationship i get freaked out, even after he turned 18 if still wouldve been predatory i mean come on? What the heck is someone over 25 doing with a teenager, not to mention he was 17 when this weird stuff started. Its great the teacher knew it was wrong but that doesnt change anything if he still went through it. if he had predatory thoughts he shouldve went to therapy instead of having this grossly ambiguous relationship with his student...it wouldve been a good message if they got together after like a 5 year reunion or something where he got better or foudn a different job where he wasnt a danger. The romance didnt need to be cut out but the teacher didnt have to be pedo, watching him for three years?? Insanity, he would been like 14-15.
