amen thanks, i hate that female characters cant be equals in these stories... if theyre strong and respected, theyre also 99% of the time either sexualized or has a meek personality (or both). One of the only exceptions is "I Used to be a Boss" where there are strong female characters and neither MC nor author (im assuming) has a bone of mysogynism
I saw the cover language and immediately had a feeling it would happen
1. Because I have numerous amount of manga, manhua & manhwa over the years, I can practically whiff the sexism right off this one. Not a good feeling for a female reader I tell you
2. If readers are looking for a good looking mc, they definitely found one.
3. If the readers are looking for an OP mc, then they have found that too.
4. If readers are looking for male mc condescending to "so-called" powerful female characters by "teaching her", then they've found the right manga. And let me clarify, I don't mean master-disciple relations, I mean the female is SSGrade but the male mc is just so great, his greatness is dripping all over the panels.
5. The artist also contributed to the demure female. The petite posture of the demure female ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ Nothing rankles me like a female charactwr being made to be the women that male readers, male artists & male authors expect to be!
6. And that's not all, the mc is simply unlikable due to both his condescension as well as his arrogance.
7. Japanese author's can't help creating works that reek of female submission in their works. It is very obvious from the artist caricatures of female mc, the words she uses, the postures she makes etc.
8. So basically they create 2 kinds of women--the gentle, meek, submissive healer type women, who will squeak at everything the male mc does
--then the second type will be tsunami type (from naruto). They will give her great powers, but they will make her so incompetent that she cant use them properly & has to be mansplained by the male mc. And then, the male mc will completely overshadow her to the point that she will just be a background spark.
9. The plot is boring as fuck! The art is shittier!
10. If this manga wants to be better, the author must stop being so cringe & bring in female writers to make the writing process more wholesome. (︶︿︶)＝凸
