I think he liked the picture of him being all nice and sweet but the person he is rn is different he a jerk who is trying to show his lacks to him then acting like he accepts him the way he is. And I think the fact that the mc thinks that moment that he lacked or did smh wrong when he absolutely did nothing wrong does show how significant his lack of confidence is
