No, he doesn't call him brother brother but hyung, kinda the same as senpai. Translaors fucked it up once again and keep making readers think this is some incest type of story. They thought a LITERAL translation would be better instead of just making an exception to the word hyung.

They should do like other manhwas where “hyung, ahjussi, oppa, nona, etc” are still there and they have the explanation in the beginning of the chapter or a little side note on the panel. Even in mangas with “san, chan, etc” I prefer it. Because it changes the meaning and sounds awful - not the way the author intended (￣ε(#￣)Σ

I’m enjoying this story so much. I like everything with the exception of the empress of course, but I must say she’s a good villain and also, something that irks me is when Rishar calls Ettiene “brother”. I know it’s because how they were brought up and all but since he clearly loves him, it annoys me. Gives me the ick ┗( T﹏T )┛
